Maintaining
Customer Prospects
First of all open the peach tree software after
opening the peach tree software then select the maintain from main top bar and
the list will be open and the window will be as following
Select the customer prospects so customer prospects tells us about the customer details means customer nature, type of customer, amount of sales, amount of receives etc.
So, after selecting the customer prospects the window will open as following
Ø In
the above mention window on the top there is a bar in which there is option of
close, save, delete, new, event and help etc.
Ø Then
there is customer id in which we enter customer id that is alpha numeric.
Ø Then
name in this complete name of customer.
Ø On
the right side of window there is an option of prospect and inactive and
prospect means that customer will be formed in future.
Ø Then
there is a head of General in this there is option of contact, address, city
etc.
Ø On
the right side there is customer type, telephone num, fax, email, website through
which we communicate to the customer.
Ø In
the bottom of the right side there is begging balances, in this we enter the
amounts that we have to take from the customer or balances.
After entering the
balances the window will be as following
After entering data, from the top bar there is an option of save and save the customer
record.
Then again move towards the main window of customer
prospect and then select the sales default and the following window will open.
In the sales default there is general sales account
in this we will enter the account id that is of sales which is 410 and this is
done before entering the beginning balances.
Other information is not so necessary to fulfill.
And then moving towards the next head that is payment
default and the following window will
open.
In this head there are sources through which we
received our payment by customer.
Then moving
towards the next head that is customer field after selecting it following window will open.
In this head there is customer information like
Ø Second
contact
Ø Reference
Ø Mailing
list
Ø Multiple
sites
Ø And
also a free space in this any thing that we want to enter
Then moving towards the
last head that is history after selecting that the following window will open.
In the head of history there is date and time since
that particular person is our customer, last invoice date, last payment date
etc in simple words all the history of our customer.
In the end any data or information that we enter in
any head must be save from the top main bar option of save.
MAINTAIN CUSTOMER DEFAULT
In the customer default we sets the default terms
for sales and also sets default for credit limit.
First of all we open the peach tree software and
then open our company after this select the maintain there is open a list in
the third last num there is default information, place curser on it and sub
list is open in this there is customer select the customer and the window will
be as following
After opening the customer default the window is as

In the window on the top there is main bar in the
main bar there are heads like
Ø Payment
terms
Ø Accounting
aging
Ø Customer
field
Ø Finance
changes
Ø And
pay methods
First we open the
payment terms in this there are standard terms like C.O.D that stands for cash
on delivery, then prepaid that means payment must be advance,
Due days in which
payments must be made, due on day of next month,
Due at the end of
month
On the right side of
the window there is net due in that are days in which payment due , other is
discount period in which we get discount and the last is discount percentage
that means the rate at which percentage we get discount
Now moving towards the
next head that is accounting aging and the window will be as following
In the above window
there is about the invoice like invoice date, due date.
In the bottom there is
aging categories like time periods in which aging categorize. Then moving to
the next head that is custom field and the window will be as following
In the above mention
window there is field labels like
The contacts through
which we connect to the customer that are as follow

Ø Multiple

Now we moving to the next head that is finance
charges and the window will be as following
In this head there is
information about Interest rate and the percentages of the interest, minimum
finance charges etc
Then moving towards the
last head that is pay methods and the window will be as following
The sources through
which payment is made like
Ø Cash
Ø Check
Ø Visa
Ø Master
card etc,
After selecting it then click ok and save it.
MAINTAIN VENDOR DEFAULT
For maintaining the
vendor default open the vendor default from main bar to move curser on the
maintain and then from the list choose default and then select the vendor and
the window that is open will be as following
The first head is
payment term in this head there are information that is as following
Standard terms, in the
standard terms there is C.O.D that means cash on delivery, other is prepaid
means first we made payment then receive items,
Ø Payment
due in number days,
Ø Payment
due on day of next month,
Ø Payment
due at the end of month.
The next head will be
about account aging and the window will be as following
That tells us about the
invoice due date and the time period just like customer default and the next
head that is custom field and the window will be as following
It is used about the
extra information about vendors like
Ø Office
manager
Ø Account
manager
Ø Special
note etc
After
selecting it and then select the button ok and save it.
